Army ROTC 4 Year Scholarship

Welcome to our site! I’m MAJ Adam Harris of the Mississippi State Army ROTC program. We have some outstanding opportunities and benefits for qualified young men and women interested in obtaining their commission in Army ROTC. We have several scholarship opportunities for students interested in the program ranging from $3,000 to $28,000 annually (4 year total of $12,000 to $112,000). Our program is challenging and focused on leadership development, while embracing the concept of “student first”. We work with cadets to help them succeed in the degree of their choice while earning a minor in Military Science and Leadership and earning a commission in the Active, Reserve or National Guard components.

If you are a High School Junior or Senior who is planning to attend the Mississippi State in SY 2016-2017, I recommend that you begin by submitting an on-line application for one of our 4-Year National Army ROTC Scholarships. You will first need to create a MY GOARMY account. Once you create an account, you will be sent to the MY GOARMY Log In page. Once you successfully login to MY GOARMY, you can use your newly created account information to login to the scholarship application site. The deadline for scholarship submission is 10 JAN of each year, but the earlier you complete your application and submit the supporting documents (Transcripts, ACT or SAT scores, Presidential Fitness scores, and completion of you ROTC Interview) the more likely you are to receive a scholarship offer.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call me at the below number or email me at aharris@armyrotc.msstate.edu

Cadet Initial Entry Training Course 2 Year Program

The Cadet Initial Entry Training course is the Army’s 2-year ROTC Program entry point. Through the CIET Course, students without the ROTC Basic Course who are serious about a career as an Army officer can qualify for entry into the advanced course. The Army observes these students and determines their officer potential in a leadership oriented, challenging, and motivating 4-week training program at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Students will have an opportunity to experience cadet and Army life first-hand. They will live, eat and work together in platoons consisting of approximately 40 cadets each. They will learn topics including Military Formations and Drill, Physical Training, Map Reading and Land Navigation, M-16 Rifle Marksmanship and other Weapons Familiarization. They will experience the esprit de corps of cross-platoon rivalry and competition, which will earn their platoon honors. Cadets will have a chance to bond from amongst a diverse group of people from hundreds of schools all over the nation.

It's an experience unlike any other!
