Second Lieutenant Clay Tanner recently completed the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal as an Army Officer. This course is held at Eglin Air Force Base and lasts 42 weeks. This course teaches service members of all branches the most current procedures for the location, identification, render safe, recovery, technical evaluation, and disposal of conventional surface and underwater ordnance, both foreign and domestic. 2LT Tanner is a proud Mississippi State Alumni, who was commissioned as an Active Duty Ordnance Army Officer from the MSU Army ROTC program in 2015. He earned his degree in History. While in the ROTC program, he served as the Bulldog Battery Commander during his junior year and as the Cadet Command Sergeant Major during his senior year. He is currently attached in the operations office with the 65th EOD at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. We would like to congratulate 2LT Tanner in his accomplishments. Bulldog Strong! Hail State!
