Cadet Colby Marlow Scholarship

On 22 November, the Bulldog Battalion and Mississippi State University campus and community lost Cadet Colby Marlow to an automobile accident. Colby was excellent Warrior, 4.0 GPA student, a Cadet Company Commander, and a Distinguished Military Graduate being in the top 10% of all Cadets in the Nation. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the Mississippi Army National Guard in the 2nd Battalion, 114th Field Artillery Regiment. His twin brother, Cadet Cade Marlow, continues his path to commission as an Army officer in the program.

In December, the Marlow family had meeting with Mary Baldwin (Associate Director, Annual Giving) at the Mississippi State University Foundation and established a scholarship in Colby's memory. The scholarship will be awarded to an Army ROTC Cadet in the Spring semester based on academic and demonstrated leadership performance. Endowments have approximately a year to get to $25,000 to produce a $1,000 Scholarship annually in perpetuity.
