U.S. Army Ranger School lived up to every expectation. It proved to be physically demanding, mentally challenging, and impossible to complete by one's self.

One of the major teaching tools used throughout the course is failure.  I was forced to learn to push through or work around my failures when I recycled 2 of the 3 phases, turning a 62 day course into 187 days. This taught me humility, patience, and perseverance that will better help me be the combat leader our Soldiers deserve.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 10 days of training. During phases I and II I learned a great deal about air mobility, air assault operations, and sling load operations. My favorite part of Air Assault was phase III, rappelling and fries training.

My advice to anyone seeking this amazing opportunity is to have everything on the packing list, study (especially phases I and II), and pay attention to the instructors.
