Second lieutenants in the Air Defense Artillery defend civilians, soldiers and assets from enemy missiles and aircraft. As an officer, you will become an expert in the tactics, techniques and procedures for the employment of air defense systems. In addition, you may be assigned to a corps or theater missile defense unit in charge of safeguarding military assets and populated areas.

Being part of the Color Guard allows cadet to learn the proper procedures for presenting the colors. Once trained, they will get an opportunity to represent the ROTC program in public sporting events and other major activities.
The Bulldog Battery is a team of cadets that have an active roll during football games at Davis Wade Stadium. The team marches the flag into the stadium and raises and lowers the flag before and after each game The team celebrates touchdowns by performing pushups on the field and firing the cannon.
Ranger Challenge is the varsity sport of Army ROTC. A Ranger Challenge Team is made up of nine cadets, two alternates and at least one female. They compete against other colleges throughout the nation in events such as: patrolling, marksmanship, weapons assembly, one-rope bridge, grenade assault course, Army Physical Fitness Test, land navigation, and a ten-kilometer road march.
